Applying to the EMSF Program

Application requirements

Application to the Baruch Executive Master's in Finance program at the American Graduate School of Business and Economics is open to those who hold a recognized undergraduate degree, or its equivalent.

Additionally, professional experience in business or related fields, although not required, is beneficial.

Applicants are expected to have strong mathematical and quantitative skills, strong verbal and writing skills, and a broad knowledge and interest in economic and financial topics. Applicants may also be asked to arrange an interview with a member of the Admissions Committee.

The Admissions Committee considers applicants from a wide variety of national and educational backgrounds.

How to apply

Applicants for admission to the Baruch Executive Master's program should submit:

  • The completed AGSBE application form.

    Detailed instructions can be found on p.1 of both application forms

  • An official copy of transcripts of all previous university-level studies

  • Two letters of recommendation from professors who have instructed the candidate in a degree program

  • International applicants: an official copy of degree certificates, with at least one copy sent directly to AGSBE from the academic institution(s)

  • Non-native speakers of English who did not graduate from an English language degree program in an English-speaking country must submit a TOEFL score (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

  • Current resume

  • GMAT Score Reports (optional)

  • Photocopies of identification card or passport. Non-EU citizens currently residing in the EU must submit a photocopy of their visa or residency permit.

  • An application fee of €100, non-refundable. This can be paid online.

Please note that all documents in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by certified translations. Notarized translations alone will not be accepted. Translations do not replace original documents. Please remember to send both.

All documentation submitted will be confidential. Application materials cannot be returned once submitted to AGSBE.

Note: the TOEFL exam is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). You will find further information on the TOEFL at the ETS website or you can write to:

Application deadlines

Applications are accepted and reviewed on a continuing basis. Application deadlines for each of the two yearly cohorts are the following:
