Program descriptionThe Executive Master of Science in Marketing (EMSM) is a one-year intensive program that provides students with the necessary tools to pursue careers in senior-level marketing and sales management, international market consulting, brand and product management, and marketing communications within multinational enterprises, medium and small businesses, consulting firms, international and national non-profit organizations, and high-growth entrepreneurial ventures. The EMSM at the American Graduate School of Business and EconomicsĀ is an affiliated program of the Baruch College at the City University of New York. As such, it is accredited by AACSB and by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. See more information on accreditations and affiliations. Courses are taught by the faculty of CUNY's Baruch Collegewho travel to Paris for that purpose. The faculty at Baruch are known for blending advanced theories with practical business applications. In the program, students gain the skills to develop new product strategy, pricing strategy, and advertising strategy as well as learn to enhance distribution, understand customer needs, and stay on the cutting edge of industry. AGSBE's emphasis on group work and small class sizes. This enables students to work closely with faculty and peers who are rich in professional experience, and to form lifelong friendships and business relationships. OrganizationThe EMSM is an intensive program delivered in a flexible format. The one-year EMSM program includes ten courses conducted as intensive modules taught on evenings and weekends in order to accomodate the constraints of working professionals. Each course consists of over 36 contact hours of face-to-face lectures. One course is conducted every month (except August and September) over a ten-day period, according to the following schedule format.
CurriculumThe program consists of three major course components: five core courses, four applied courses, and one capstone course (total 10 courses). The advanced courses build on the knowledge acquired in the first 5 courses. All courses are required. Core Courses
