CFA® Preparation Program
The School of Business and Economics at AGS offers a comprehensive program to prepare candidates to the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exam. Classes take place in Paris and are delivered in English. The CFA program at AGS emphasizes extensive faculty experience in CFA preparation, and close support to every student.
AGS prepares for the three levels of the CFA exam. The preparation for each level exam consists of 18 sessions scheduled to accomodate the constraints of working professionals. In-house sessions may be also organized based on a customized schedule, for groups from banks, corporations or other types of organizations.
The Chartered Financial Analyst is a widely recognized international professional certification setting global standards for knowledge, competence, skills and ethics in the sector of investment and finance. It has been awarded since 1963 and is valued by employers and clients worldwide. The CFA charter is awarded by the CFA Institute to candidates who have passed a series of three sequential exams, labelled level 1 to level 3.
Faculty and Teaching Methods
Instructors teaching in this program are CFA charterholders themselves and have experience in training CFA candidates. They are drawn from both the finance industry and academia.
Face-to-face lectures cover the full spectrum of the CFA curriculum. An emphasis is placed on practical questions and problem solving skills, with the help of a set of tools including complete study material, sample exam questions, practice tests, a mock exam, and an intensive review conducted during the last week before the exam.
Class sizes are small in order to allow for the instructors to work closely with each CFA candidate and identify his or her strengths and areas to be developed. Additionally, instructors are available for questions by email/sms in order to ensure continuing support outside of classroom time.
The curriculum of the CFA preparation program is based on the body of knowledge set forth by the CFA Institute along with the Learning Outcome Statements. It covers the full range of topics featured in the CFA exam.

I aim to help my students prepare for life beyond "the groves of academe" - especially how to ask the right questions to work out what is really going on out there. Along the way, they practice writing lucidly and succinctly. It is stimulating teaching such a lively crew. I hope they also find it fun being challenged to analyse the facts without prejudice and to think originally.
