Message of the President of Acadia University - International Relations and Diplomacy

Dr. Jerry Greiner, President of Arcadia UniversityI am very pleased with the affiliation and growing partnership between Arcadia University and the American Graduate School in Paris (AGS). Arcadia is a leader in global education. We have over 100 programs and partnerships in 14 countries around the world, but the partnership with AGS is special. AGS is a partner with whom we are building new interactive programs for our students that will make it possible for students from each institution to study overseas with fellow students from the other institution.

Today’s students will become tomorrow’s leaders, and tomorrow’s leaders must have a global perspective. That perspective cannot be achieved only by reading books and taking courses. It comes from integrating various forms of knowledge with the experience of living and working in other cultures. This is the reason for Arcadia’s intense focus on having global learning experiences infused throughout all of our programs. By providing students this type of learning experience, we believe that we are equipping them with the tools and motivation they will need to become leaders and change agents in the years to come. Your experience at AGS will fit this vision of a total education, preparing you to make a difference in the world.

Both AGS and Arcadia are blessed with outstanding faculty who have had significant global experience themselves. They bring to the classroom and their individual mentoring with students a vast array of knowledge and world experience that will provide a strong foundation for your learning and intellectual growth.

I wish you the best as you continue your studies, wherever they might take you. And if you become a student at AGS, perhaps I will have the honor of listening to a presentation you make at a conference and then shaking your hand when you receive your degree at graduation.
