Applying to the Graduate Study Abroad Program

Admission requirements

The study abroad graduate program is open to applicants who meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in an graduate program

  • Applicants must be proficient in English

  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

How to apply

Applicants for the semester study abroad program should submit:

  • The completed AGSIRD application form. Detailed instructions can be found on page 1.

  • A personal statement.

  • An application fee of €50, non-refundable. This can be paid online.

  • Official transcripts from the university where the applicant is currently pursuing a MA or PhD degree.

  • A letter of recommendation from a professor who is, or has, instructed the candidate in their current degree program.

  • Non-native speakers of English who are not studying in an English language degree program in an English-speaking country must submit a TOEFL score (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

Please note that all documents in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by certified translations. Notarized translations alone will not be accepted. Translations do not replace original documents. Please remember to send both.

All documentation submitted will be confidential. Application materials cannot be returned once submitted to AGSIRD.
