Graduate Semester Abroad
The School of International Relations and Diplomacy at AGS welcomes graduate students who wish to spend a semester in Paris. Credits earned in this program may be transferred to a graduate program in another U.S. institution*, or convert their study abroad experience into a full M.A. or Ph.D. program at AGS.**
Additionally, by taking a combination of two courses, students earn a Certificate of International Relations in the subjects of the courses from the American Graduate School in Paris: see more information here.
A typical full-time semester consists of four courses. Students may choose the courses they wish to attend in the Current Course Offering. See also the Graduate Course Catalog for course descriptions.
Students enrolled at AGS for study abroad may also choose to attend the French language courses offered along with the program through the partner school Alliance Française: see more information here.
*Please note that credit transfer depends on the receiving institution's credit transfer policy.
**Study abroad students wishing to enroll in the full degree program must then re-submit a complete application.
