Curriculum of the Undergraduate Summer Study Abroad Program

This program is a six-week interdisciplinary curriculum designed for students who would like to combine their interests in studying the French language with a practical knowledge of French and European government. Combining the world-famous language methods of the Alliance Française with the intensive classroom teaching and field research methods of AGSIRD this summer program offers students an approach to learning that is both rigorous and fun.

International Relations and Politics Courses

Each week builds on a particular theme, developing disciplinary knowledge in the classroom, followed by practical guided visits in the field to reinforce that knowledge.

French Language Courses

The curriculum depends on the particular level each student is assigned to prior to entrance.

quote leftThe Baruch program at AGS gave me an edge by cultivating my knowledge in finance and crafting my way of thinking. The environment of the program mirrors my work environment: my co-workers come from all over the world, but the language of work is English. The key reasons, however, for my decision to study at this school were that I had access to some of the most brilliant professors in the world and the flexibility to work while studying.quote right
