Dr. Anand on France 24 about the impact of the meat industry on global warming

On the occasion of the Copenhagen summit, the international TV network France 24 invited Dr. Ruchi Anand on December 28 to participate in a debate about how the meat industry affects the environment through its impact on climate change.

According to the U.N. report "Livestock's Long Shadow - Environmental Issues and Options"(2006) the meat producing industry is responsible for 18% of global greenhouse gas emission worldwide.

Dr. Anand brought her expertise on environmental issues and policies to discuss this problem.
